This hair band is made of 100% Mulberry Silk consists of protein fibers and shows good biocompatibility with the human body. Its surface is smooth, and the coefficient of friction against the body is the lowest among fibers, merely 7.4%.
It has good moisture absorption and release, Which can absorb or release moisture in the air and maintain a certain moisture level. Normally, it helps skin keep some moisture and avoid dryness. In summer, it quickly disperses sweat and heat, making one feel cool.
Mulberry Silk has both good heat dissipation and heat retention. The latter is due to its multi-porous fiber structure. There are fine fibers in mulberry silk, and many of them are hollow. The air in these hollows stops heat from dissipating.
Moreover, mulberry silk can adjust temperature and humidity and absorb harmful substances, dust and microorganisms. The thermal denaturation of mulberry silk fibers is small and they are heat-resistant. When heated to 100°C, only about 5 - 8% get brittle, while most synthetic fibers have a much larger thermal denaturation.
The combustion temperature of mulberry silk is 300 - 400°C, making it flame-retardant, while that of synthetic fibers is 200 - 260°C and they are flammable and easily melted. Using mulberry silk fibers for indoor decoration can achieve sound absorption, dust absorption, heat preservation and flame retardation.
