Natural Fabrics
order sample pack >>>At Digital Fabrics we print on cotton fabrics and other natural fabrics using direct to fabric printing technology. In direct digital fabric printing rolls of cotton fabric are printed using large format digital printing machines directly onto fabric. We can print your design with unlimited colours on your choice of fabric. For printing on cotton fabrics we use woven bases such as cotton voile, cotton drill, cotton linen, linen deluxe and cotton poplin. Created from fibres that occur in our natural world, cotton fabrics are very pleasant to wear. They are great to wear as it’s cool and comfortable next to the skin due to their excellent moisture absorption. Natural fabric is suitable for fashion garments, tablecloths, bedding, baby clothes and various craft projects. Our cotton fabrics have a nice handle and feel and are beautiful all around your home and family. If you’re after large regions of pure flat colours we recommend poly fabric, as we do not recommend printing large regions of pure, flat colours on these fabrics. Also, some prints on natural fabric have a tendency to fade as a result of washing. We recommend doing a wash test of fabric samples to determine the colourfastness that suits your project best before committing to a full print run as each fabric responds to washing differently.

100% pure silk. The distinguishing characteristic of the twill weave is a diagonal rib pattern and because of its high thread count it is opaque, thick, and durable with a nice drape. Like with good wine, silk twill becomes softer and more beautiful with age. It is the classic high-end scarf fabric.

30% silk and 70% cotton. Silk cotton combines the positive characteristics of each material into a single textile. It is a lightweight, silky and comfortable weave with a soft feel and a sturdy, silky drape.

30% silk and 70% wool. Our silk wool is blended for a rich hand. This fabric is warm, yet surprisingly silky, making it perfect for fall and winter scarves.

30% silk and 70% cashmere. Silk blends very well with cashmere and improves the properties of the fabric. It gives it more strength, sheen and drape while absorbing moisture and providing air circulation. Perfect for summer and winter.

15% silk & 85% modal. This fabric combines good softness, excellent moisture absorption, lightness, bracing, lustre of silk and the durability, wrinkle resistance of modal together. Silk modal is a more eco-friendly alternative for cotton.

85% modal & 15% cashmere. Modal cashmere has a fluffy, soft feel close to cashmere, while modal adds the smoothness and good drape. It also has good reducing properties, especially not shrinking after washing and good shape retention, easier to care.

100% modal. Modal Twill has a kind of cashmere hand feeling, it can be naturally degraded after use, modal is soft, glossy and brightly coloured. Its softness and strong fibers mean that it is far less prone to shrinking, wrinkling, and pilling, which makes it a good choice for spring, autumn or winter scarves.

100% modal. It is very smooth to the touch, lustrous, and drapes better than cotton, polyester and rayon. It is a natural mercerised fabric with a silk-like lustre and feel, its softness and strong fibers mean that it is far less prone to shrinking, wrinkling, and pilling.

100% polyester. Closer to silk twill, with a silk drape, smooth, soft and wear-resistant, easy to wash. Compared to silk twill, it is more durable and easier to care. Shortcomings are poor moisture absorption and breathability.

100% polyester. Polyester chiffon is a plain tissue interweaving sheer low density gauze fabric, similar to silk chiffon, soft, light, slippery touch, elastic, good breathability and drape. Compared to other polyester fabrics, its breathability is better, cause it has lots of micro pores.
