La Mer
The ocean has always been a constant source of inspiration, and in October, La Mer collaborated with artist Wang Guangle to design a double-sided silk scarf inspired by the sea. For a long time, Wang Guangle has incorporated the concept of the flow of time into his artistic practice. His series of works reveal the simultaneous qualities of philosophy and the passage of time, both concrete and abstract, like the sea, as well as the mystery of the ocean that continues to evolve at La Mer. It is the resonance between La Mer and Wang Guangle's reverence for nature, craftsmanship and the original that binds them together.
This double-sided silk scarf inspired by the sea, whose front side is taken from a part of the "Waves", is composed of color bars in the form of waves, not as a depiction of the natural world, but as a remnant of countless color layers. This side is brightly colored and has a fashionable atmosphere. On the back, the waves are depicted with traditional Chinese ink painting strokes, a technique that has remained unchanged for millennia, represented by "Water" painted by Ma Yuan in the Southern Song Dynasty.
This collaboration uses double-sided printing technology, which prints different patterns on two sides of the fabric. This printing method is more complex than the normal digital printing method, and the pattern is more vivid and beautiful. All of our silk fabrics and print ink
