We have been hearing the word Silk Road since so long that was the first connector of Asia and western Trade. Now there are some commercial roads are hyped in media like 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, one belt one road etc. I learnt the silk-road was the ancient culture of China which is called the identity of China.

Why Silk Road is called Silk Road? Because there were lots of silkworm on the way? Or road was made by silk fabric? Or the road was directed by the silk thread? 

I have been pondering over it but without any tangible attention.

Silkworm which produces silk thread and Chinese had made the silk fabric in that ancient time which used to be soft, smooth and light. Silk Clothes are delicate and light that possess with comfortable wearing. Chinese Silk fabrics were famous in the world with good quality for more than thousands of years. According to Chinese history some 2 thousand years oldest silk cloth was found in the tomb which was 50 grams in weighs. 

Silk brand was highly and widely admired by western that introduced in 100 B.C. it spreads to the Rome by merchants. The route they traveled is called the Silk Road. Till now we are hearing the word Silk Road as the historical medium of Asia and west.
